Count the business days between two dates, both included, leaving out weekends and U.S. federal holidays.
Which holidays are excluded
The calculator leaves out the federal holidays that fall on a weekday, on the day they are observed: a holiday on a Saturday is observed the Friday before, one on a Sunday the Monday after. The federal holidays of 2026:
- New Year's Day: Thursday, January 1
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, January 19
- Presidents' Day: Monday, February 16
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 25
- Juneteenth: Friday, June 19
- Independence Day: Saturday, July 4 (observed Friday, July 3)
- Labor Day: Monday, September 7
- Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day: Monday, October 12
- Veterans Day: Wednesday, November 11
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 26
- Christmas Day: Friday, December 25
State holidays and company days off are not included: if your workplace closes on other days, remove them from the count. Planning time off? See the long weekends.
